Born Seoul, Korea October 1, 1973. Admitted to Bar: California, 2015, Tax Court, 2020, Education: Yonsei University (Bachelor of Law, 2011), University of Southern California Gould School of Law (LL.M. 2013) Enrolled Agent (the U.S. Department of the Treasury, 2015) Member: State Bar of California.
Prior to being admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Lee had 20 years of business experience as an investor and entrepreneur in various business fields including Real Estate, Wholesale, and Education. As an experienced businessman, he has set up a few startup companies and made them multi-million dollar businesses. When he was in the education business, he was specialized in working with Government entities and higher education institutions to create unique ESL programs combined with job training which allowed students to have a valuable internship experience with international employers.
Since being admitted to the bar, Mr. Lee has been in private practice focusing on Tax law, US Immigration Law, Business and Civil controversies, and Virtual Currency regulation. Mr. Lee had served as a corporate counsel for many of the virtual currency and blockchain development firms and was able to successfully launch and list the companies’ virtual currency assets to various markets/exchanges. He has been a lecturer for the Korean-American CPA Society of Southern California (KACPA) and various universities and colleges in South Korea. Mr. Lee has been a member of the US Korea Tax Forum serving as a director of public relations.
